Brumbies coach Jake White will fly to South Africa to look for a lock who can add some aggression to his forward pack for next season's Super Rugby campaign.
White has almost filled his player list for the 2013 Super Rugby season as he needs the 30th and final spot on his roster with an emerging player to add depth to his ranks.
The Brumbies don't have enough financial space to chase an established star due to the salary cap and have denied that they were looking at bringing Springboks giant Danie Rossouw to Canberra.
The Brumbies have lost seven players to other franchises with flanker Michael Hooper and outside back Cam Crawford moving to the Waratahs and winger Kimami Sitauti moving to Melbourne. Flanker Dylan Sigg has been released.
Fijian prop Jerry Yanuyanutawa has signed a contract with London Irish and veteran lock Ben Hand and hooker Anthony Hegarty are both off to French club Grenoble.
The Brumbies missed out on a place in the play offs this season by a point and Stephen Moore says that he is confident they can soon win a third Super rugby title adding to the titles won in 2001 and 2004.
"The end point for us is to win a Super Rugby championship, and I think that's achievable in the short to medium term," he told the Sydney Morning Herald.
"No one thought we'd do anything this year and we almost made the finals.
"If we can keep improving the way we did this year, anything's possible."
The experienced hooker recently won the Brett Robinson award for the club's players player of the year but had little time to celebrate as he rejoined his Wallabies team mates for the Bledisloe Cup and Rugby Championship opener against the All Blacks at ANZ Stadium.
"Any award voted by your peers means the most," Moore said.
"For those guys you play with to feel you're offering some value means the world to me.
"It's very humbling, but there's any number of guys that could have taken it out." Source: SuperXV
