Eben Etzebeth back for Stormers

The Stormers have revealed that Duane Vermeulen and Schalk Burger are unlikely to feature in their Super Rugby final on Saturday the 28th of July.

However the Stormers have been given a boost as Eben Etzebeth, Gio Aplon and Siya Kolisi have all been cleared for full team training and are available to play in the semifinal.

Stormers coach Allister Coetzee said that, "Vermeulen and Burger are both also progressing really well, but both still remain doubtful starters for the semi."

"Both will undergo final assessments on Thursday as to their availability to participate in team training next week and as to their potential availability for the play-off," said Coetzee.

"We are in pretty good shape, injury wise, for this stage of the competition."

"It has been a gruelling couple of months."

The Stormers finished the Super Rugby season on top of the standings so they are in pole position to host the final if they get through the Semi-final.

The Stormers top placing also earned them a bye this week and Coetzee confirmed that he has given the player some time off.

"The players have the luxury of 3 days downtime before regrouping on Thursday for training and preparation."
