Butch James confirms switch back to Sharks

Former Springbok and Bath fly half Butch James has confirmed that he will play Super Rugby for the Sharks in 2013.

James started his playing career with the Sharks and made his Super Rugby debut in 2001 after first playing Currie Cup Rugby.

In 2007 James left South Africa as a Rugby World Cup winner to play for Bath in England.

James played for Bath for four years and then returned to South Africa and played for the Golden Lions in Super Rugby and in the Currie Cup.

The thirty-three-year-old has now confirmed that he will return to Durban to play for the Sharks via his Twitter account.

"Officially Black & White for next year! It's good to be home!!" said James on hisTwitter account.

James' move to the Sharks from the Lions will give the Sharks depth at number 10 and 12 now that Frederic Michalak has returned to France.

Patrick Lambie is still expected to be the Sharks first choice number 10. superxv
